This Privacy policy explains how Lucas Genesses Dias Bittencourt (trade name Lucas Bittencourt), a sole proprietorship registered in Brazil under CNPJ 42.564.890/0001-04, processes personal data in QR Code Generator, a web app for creating QR codes (gerador-de-qrcode.lucasbittencourt.dev), under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, "LGPD").
This is a translation. In case of any difference, the Portuguese version prevails. The lucasbittencourt.dev website has a Privacy policy of its own; this one covers only QR Code Generator.

2. What QR Code Generator does
QR Code Generator creates QR codes for links, Wi-Fi, PIX, contacts, WhatsApp and other kinds, with a frame, colors and a logo, and exports them as PNG, SVG or JPEG. The QR code is generated in the browser itself: there's no account, no login and no server that receives the content.
3. Data we process
The content of the QR codes
Links, Wi-Fi passwords, PIX keys, contacts and any other content you type are turned into a QR code on your device. That content isn't sent, logged or kept: when you close or reload the page, the fields are empty again. The same goes for a logo you upload: the browser reads it and it isn't sent to any server.
Preferences in your browser
So you don't have to redo the look on every visit, your browser's local storage (localStorage) keeps your design preferences (colors, frame, module and eye shapes and the logo you picked or uploaded) and file preferences (format and size). They stay only on your device and aren't sent to servers.
Usage statistics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits, see where they come from (referring page, country, browser and device type) and measure page speed. They use no cookies, don't identify who you are and don't receive the content of your QR codes; the data is aggregated.
Hosting logs
Vercel, which hosts the site, records technical data about requests (such as IP address, date and time and the address requested) in its platform logs, for its retention period, for operations and security.
4. Cookies
QR Code Generator uses no cookies: no session, advertising or analytics cookies.
5. Purposes and legal bases
The legal bases are those in article 7 of the LGPD:
- Usage statistics and performance: legitimate interest, to understand how the site is used and improve it, with aggregated data that doesn't identify you.
- Security and technical logs: legitimate interest and compliance with a legal obligation.
6. Sharing
We don't sell personal data, use it for advertising or pass it on to data brokers. Data is shared only with:
- Vercel: hosting of the site, usage statistics and performance measurement.
- Public authorities: when required by law or court order.
7. International transfer
Vercel processes data on servers outside Brazil, including in the United States. These transfers follow article 33 of the LGPD, with a provider that adopts security and data protection measures.
8. How long we keep data
- Preferences in your browser: until you delete them, by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.
- Usage statistics: for Vercel's retention period, in aggregated form.
- Hosting logs: for Vercel's retention period.
9. Your rights
Under article 18 of the LGPD, you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion, portability, information about sharing and withdrawal of consent. Since the content of the QR codes never reaches a server, there's no data of yours kept to look up or delete beyond the aggregated statistics.
To exercise these rights, write to the email above. You can also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
10. Security
All communication is encrypted (HTTPS), and the content of the QR codes never leaves your device. The QR codes are static: once downloaded, they work without going through the site and don't reveal who scanned them. The source code is public, so anyone can check what's described here.
11. Children and teenagers
QR Code Generator doesn't knowingly collect children's data and asks for no personal data to work.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. See also the Terms of use and the website's Privacy policy.
